Superleague — EUon United 0 Gulter 3 (at The Meadows, Elton) Half Time: 0

Culter Scorers: Martin Shand (66 minutes), Chris Ogboke (71 minutes) and
Greg Donald (78 minutes)
Saturday 12 September 2009. Culter repeated last week’s result against
the same opposition at the same venue for a welcome Superleague success.
Cutter kicked off and Stott was unlucky to see his shot flash across the goal
after only 4 minutes of play. Robertson’s 25 yard free kick just cleared the bar
before another Stott effort was well blocked by Irvine. Farquhar was at last
called into action in the 26th minute but easily saved a long range Edmond shot.
Ogboke nearly broke the deadlock just on half time but his 20 yarder clipped the
post with the home ‘keeper well beaten. Half Time: 0 - 0
Bruce headed a Patterson corner narrowly past the post in the 4-6 minute and at
the other end Youngson warmed the hands of Bowman with a stinging 25 yard
effort. However it was the away team who went in front in 66 minutes, Younqson’s
low driven cross being flicked home by substitute Martin SHAND to break the
deadlock. Five minutes later and Culter were two up. Youngson did well to keep
in Donald’s deep cross and the bait fell to Chris OGBOKE to tap the ball into
the net at the second attempt. It was all one way traffic now and Culter made
the points safe with a wonderful goal in the 78th minute. Robertsons free lick
went to Smith who fed in McBain, his clever flick found Greg DONALD just inside
the box who took one touch before unleashing an unstoppable shot into the far
corner of the net. With two minutes remaining the home team were awarded a soft
penalty when Robertson was adjudged to have handled the bafl but Reid’s low hit
penalty was well saved by the legs of Farquhar. Full Time: 0 - 3
